Embracing the vision and values of the U.S Democratic Party, the North Stonington Democratic Party (NSDTC) serves to represent all people regardless of their gender, race, age, religion, socio-economic status, ability, or other characteristics. We strive to maintain and improve the lives of all our citizens, by promoting equality and inclusivity, ensuring transparency in our government and good governance for all, encouraging full participation in the electoral process, working to protect and conserve the environment in our town and beyond, and promoting sustainability.

The NSDTC recognizes that local Democratic Town Committees are an integral part of the Connecticut Democratic Party. The most important function of these committees, and the NSDTC, is identifying, nominating, fundraising for, and electing highly-qualified Democrats for local, state and national offices. Additionally, the NSDTC serves to help elect and endorse members to the various 30 appointed and elected boards and commissions in town.

Our committee comprises up to 25 members, who serve terms of two years. Candidates for membership on the NSDTC are elected by a majority vote of the existing members.
